The crooked lines of God, by Torcuato Luca de Tena Brunet
Alice Gould is admitted to a psychiatric hospital against her will. It will make you doubt everything. Alice represents both madness and sanity, sometimes with tremendous intelligence.
According to Alice, she has volunteered to solve an investigation. According to her doctor, she was admitted for presenting an obsession with ending her husband's life.
In this novel, Torcuato takes us into what psychiatric hospitals were not so many decades ago. It makes us see the stigma that exists with metal pathology, as well as the exaggerated and unfounded treatments that could be given to some patients.
It is a work that deserves to be reread and from which more nuances can be extracted in each one of them. Completely recommended.
